This very short clip contains the Legal ID used by KKCK during 1982. It was an impressive catch, considering that KKCK was only 3,000 watts from a tower height of less than 3oo feet. From my location in Apple Valley, I was about 125 miles from the transmitter. At this point in their history, I believe KKCK was automated during all or most of their broadcast day. Live jocks, as well as the big move to 100,000 watts on 99.7 was still yet to come.
I airchecked this using a Pioneer SX-3900 receiver, Winegard 10 element FM yagi antenna, Alliance rotor, Belden ultra low loss coaxial cable, Technics stereo cassette deck, and Scotch Dynarange 90 tape.
